I've hit a tricky bit

Yes, I'm talking about my Rowan 'Embrace' pattern.

So far, it's been happy, happy knitting, but last night I reached the shaping for the cap sleeves, shoulder shaping and the back of neck.  Perhaps I've taken on something that is beyond my capabilities.

Here's what it's looking like at the moment.

I do really love the colours, but the wool is super itchy.  It'll definitely need to be worn over a thickish shirt.

  1. God I wish I could knit.

The thing I've been trying to come to terms with when I've been attempting crocheting is that you need to keep trying and trying and trying and doing stuff and ripping it out and trying again before you get it (which is probably why I've not been in a hurry to keep doing it at the moment!)

So I guess the advice is....keep trying?!

That or find someone else who can knit who can show you/do it for you!

  2. Are you teaching yourself how to crochet, or are you under instruction?
Have you seen the blog 'Rosehip'? the lady crochets lovely edges onto pillowcases - I'd love to make something that beautiful.
