We visited Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire, for the first time.
Violet was invited to a friend's 5th birthday party there. It was brilliant and we didn't even get to see most of it.
Situated between Wellingborough and Thrapston, this is a 750 acre nature reserve nestled in the heart of the Nene Valley.
The wooden cabin, which had been hired out for the party, was right next to this amazing outdoor play area.
It was really well thought out, with sand, water, climbing, slides and lots of imaginative play for all ages.
The children only came in for a quick bite to eat and then they were straight back out again.
Violet had so much fun.
We'll definitely be making a return visit.
Hope you all had a a lovely weekend.
Did you watch the opening ceremony on Friday night? Totally brilliant!

Great place for a children's party by the look of it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks an amazing place for children.
ReplyDeletePlaying outside and only coming in for a bite to eat is exactly how children should play!
Loved the Opening Ceremony, in fact I don't remember ever having as much interest in the Olympics as I have this time round. :)
