Isn't it just typical....

My new wellies arrive, just as Azure skies decide to put in an appearance.

Oh well, think I'll just prance around the house in them for the remainder of the day, and possibly sleep in them, like Violet would do.

Thank you for all your lovely comments regarding my fabric choices for the teacher's gifts, and Violet's playroom.  She is a very lucky girl to have such a large space.  We did contemplate making this room into a dining room, but it would have been used once in a blue moon.  It works much better as a playroom.  Plus, I can shut the door on all that mess at the end of each day.

Our 'home visit' yesterday went well,  and I felt myself warming to her Reception Teacher to be.

The reason for this 'home visit' was due to the fact that Violet will be starting at a brand new school in September.  Unfortunately, when we moved house, we also moved out of the catchment area for the school she's presently at. It's such a shame, because Violet absolutely loves her Nursery, and I love helping out there too.  She'll really miss all her little friends who will be staying on.

People say that children are very adaptable, so I'm sure Violet will be just fine.  It's just her mother that's the problem!

  1. Its always the mothers that are the problem! Wait until you have to adapt to the teenage years! Please keep your fab wellies on until the end of November. xxxxxx

  2. Yep I agree it is always the mothers that are the problem, I'm sure Violet will be fine and much better now than when she's a bit older.
Lovely as your wellies are, I hope it's a long time before you need them!!!

  3. I love the wellies, but I for one won't be sorry to see the back of all the rain. We go on holiday to Cornwall on Saturday so I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed for some sunshine. We had the house extended and one of the extra rooms built was a playroom, money very well spent. I don't know where all the toys and games would have gone if we didn't have this room. I'm sure Violet will make new friends straight away at her new school. If you wasn't worried about that it would be something else, it's a constant worry being a mum.
