What day is it?????

I'm thinking of entering my ironing pile in to the Guinness Book of Records.

It's huge, but rather than tackle it, I've decided to get on with a couple of bag commissions that I've received recently.

The first is for one of my World Map Beach Bags.

The second is for one of shopping bags.

I used up my remaining Amy Butler, Bali Gate fabric, from her Love Collection for the outer bag.  For the lining I used what I had left of the Babble fabric by Brandon Mably. You may recognise it as the fabric I used for a pair of Violet's pajamas.

I'm currently in the process of washing some other fabrics, which I've bought recently.  Hopefully I'll be able to show you more about that later this week.

I'm already behind on the {Big} City Girl QAL, which started on Sunday. I just don't seem to know what day of the week it is at the moment.  Violet started back to school this morning (year 1 - how did that happen), and I managed to get her there late,  and I'm not even sure whether she's got everything that's she's supposed to take.  I'm feeling very disorganised - which is so not like me.  Am I allowed to put it down to my age????

Hope you're all feeling much more relaxed than I currently seem to be.

  1. Don't fret about the ironing, it'll still be there when you next look, unfortunately. There's so many other things which are much more fun to be getting on with. Hope Violet had a great first day back. Eleanor's last year this year, now how did THAT happen?

    1. The ironing is hiding itself away from the world - it's shameful how humongous it is.
You're so right thought, Jo, there are so many fun things to be doing, like eating cake for one!
Violet thoroughly enjoyed her first day at school, and seems to love her new teacher.
Hope Eleanor is enjoying being back at school.

  2. Oh yes Jill, you can blame absolutely everything on your age, I do it all the time! ;)
Love the bags, the map fabric is amazing!
Hope Violet has a brilliant year at school. :)

    1. Thanks V. I love the map fabric. It'd make a great weekender bag, wouldn't it? Or, a bean bag for the playroom.....
..... stop it, Jill, you've got far to many projects on the go already.

  3. They are great and I'm not surprised you got commissions for the World Map Beach Bag as it really does work so very well. I don't have an ironing pile...as I don't do ironing. Actually, I iron pillow cases, but that's it. Bethx

    1. Thanks Beth. The lady who'd commissioned the World Map bag was really happy with it.
I wish I didn't have an ironing pile xx
