      If only she could stay this age, Jo. She's such a smart, well mannered, caring, funny little girl, and such a fantastic companion. I hope we'll always have such a happy relationship as we do now. Though I'm sure the teenage years will be a test for us both. I clashed so much with my mother when I reached my teens - I'd hate for that to happen to Violet and I.
      I love to see little girls in their summer uniform, and the little boys running about in their long shorts. They all look so smart.
