SATURDAY
A certain blogger's birthday.
39 - OMG!
SUNDAY
"The greatest thing a Father can do for his children, is to love their Mother".
(Apologies for the lack of picture quality in the above photographers, but they are very old and the quality wasn't much cop to begin with).
Unfortunately, the fabulous gentleman above is no longer with us, but it doesn't mean I can't share these with you, in tribute. He was my Father afterall, and it was a day for celebrating fatherhood.
Violet wanted you to see a photo of her Daddy too.
She's pointing him out to you - just in case you fail to recognise the only male in the photo. And, before you ask, the woman with the big gnashers behind said 'Daddy', is me. The baby is Violet, and the dog is our chocolate Labrador, Eliza.
She helped me bake and decorate a scrummy Chocolate Orange cake for him.
I used the Chocolate Layer Cake & Chocolate Buttercream Icing recipies from my Primrose Bakery cookbook. I added the rind of 2 oranges in the cake mixture and the rind of 1 orange in the icing. As you can see Violet's tastefully(?) decorated the top with mini marshmallows and jelly tots.
Hope you all had a fun weekend.
