Where's the sun gone?

Well, what a wet, windy, miserable Bank Holiday weekend that was.

We had great plans to visit a couple of National Trust properties, aswell as a trip to Nottingham to visit my brother and his wife, but Saturday was a complete wash-out wasn't it?

On Monday we decided that we weren't going to waste the entire weekend so we got in the car and drove to Hidcote Manor Gardens in Gloucestershire.

The gardens had been planted up beautifully, the Alliums were particularly impressive (Violet called them Pom-poms, which amused some of the other visitors).  There would have been some fantastic photos to show you all, if only I'd remembered my camera. I could have kicked myself when I went rummaging through my bag only to discover that I hadn't packed it. DOH!!!!

Oh well, I suppose that means that I'll just have to go back again for another visit.

I've been quite busy with my Fairytale Swap.  The deadline is this coming weekend and I can't wait to show you what I've been making.

Here are some more clues as to what I've been doing:

Beautiful beads

Think I'll have to buy shares in Hobbeycraft.

  1. I just read your "About" page! Brilliant! So nice to get to know you better. We have quite a bit in common. Love the photos, too. Especially the old ones. Beautiful!

  2. I sometimes forget my camera, too, and it's always when I come across something I want to photograph and then I'm sad it's not to be as the camera is still at home.

Your swap project is going to be great and your recipient will love what you've created.
