Ah bless, she looks so grown up. Were there a few tears at the school gate? I don't expect there were any from Violet but if you're anything like me you will have had a tissue at the ready for yourself. Violet will come home with lots of tales to tell, enjoy.
Do you know, Jo, I didn't shed a single tear. Violet walked straight into the classroom without a backwards glance to me. I didn't even manage a kiss goodbye or a hug. She's so confident in new situations, something which she certainly doesn't get from me. x
That's lovely, Jill. Confidence like that will stand her in good stead. Eleanor was always like that, and even now she can't wait to get back to school after the holidays, though it's not the learning that she's looking forward to unfortunately, it's the social aspect.
I've thought in your last few posts how grown up Violet looks - and quite cheeky - and I'm sure she is very ready for school and will love it. Hope she's had a great afternoon.
