Pusskins

We've a new visitor to our garden.

And, he's a real beauty, with pale amber coloured eyes.

He's been hanging around for about a week or so now.  Having loads of fun chasing the squirrels up and down the garden.  I must say, he's pretty fast.  Though, luckily for the squirrels, they are ever so slightly faster.

I may have given him some salmon and put a bowl of fresh water out for him.

He appears to have a collar, but no tag. I don't think that he's very old because he's ever so slight.

Perhaps he's just new to the neighbourhood and wants to find out which houses have the best food, the best sunny spots for naps, and the best squirrel chasing facilities!

Look how friendly he his.  Wanting his belly tickling.

Violet has named him Pusskins.

As I was writing this post, introducing you to this new cheeky cat about town, I had to pop out to  rescue him from the top of our Holly Tree.  The squirrels, thinking that they'd be safe, had made their drey at the very top.  Pusskins had obviously worked out where their abode was, so thought he'd climb up and give them the fright of their little lives.  The thing is, he then got stuck.

So I've been out in the pouring rain (again), to rescue this squirrel hating cat that isn't even mine.

Don't worry, the cat's safely back on terra firma, the squirrels have probably had heart attacks, and I'm scratched and soaked (again).

  1. Haha that's cats for you.
Beware though we thought a bit of food here and there, a bit of tummy tickling would all be ok. They must belong to someone we thought but no turns out they didn't and now two litters later (thank you Cats Protection for putting an end to that)we have 8, yes 8 on a regular basis.
That's after finding homes for 4!
We love them though and you're never lonely in the garden.
    Pusskins is handsome. :)

    1. Oh my Lord! 8!!
I don't mind Pusskins visiting, but not sure my other half would put up with him becoming a permanent resident (though he was the first to put a water bowl out for him)!
He is a handsome brute - and he knows it :0)
