A Ta Da moment

I've finally found the time to sew together my latest creation.

People call these 'Ta Da moments' I believe.

So, Ta Da......

Another Lavender Pouch.

You're probably really bored with these by now, aren't you?

It's turned out great.  I'm so happy with it.

This one is destined for my brother and his wife's first Wedding Anniversary at the end of this month.

It's a bit of an unusual gift, but it's useful in the way that it keeps your undies smelling nice.

After yesterday's post about how woeful I had become over losing my blog template, I spent the evening playing around with some of my photos over on Picnik.  After a little tweaking I've finally created my very own blog header.

It'll take some getting used to, but I think it looks rather cheerful.

What do you think?  Hope you like it too.

It makes it feel more personal now that I've actually used one of my very own photos (it's that beautiful Click yarn you can see in the background). Now that I've learnt about sizing etc, I think I'll be changing the header every now and again.

Hope you're all enjoying your day.  We've been baking.

Remember to leave a comment on Saturday's post, if you haven't already, for your chance to be in the draw for a surprise giveaway.

The (nearly) perfect button

Why is it soooooooo hard to find the right buttons?

Remember Baby Knit Cardie #1?
 You do.
 Great.
Well I've finally managed to find a button that I'm happy with.  I won't say I'm entirely satisfied, but I think this one will do the job well enough.

So here's Teddy modelling the FINISHED article.

Take it away Ted.

Look, he's even giving alittle wave to the camera.

Can you see the button?
Not very clearly.
OK, I'll zoom in alittle closer.

Yay, a pretty little Ladybug

Well, whatcha think?

So, now onto Baby Knit Cardie #2.

Remember how I was having great problems doing the crochet flower bit?  Well, after numerous (and I mean NUMEROUS), a flower was born.  I also decided to knit one too (which was a hell of alot easier in my opinion). Though now I have 2 flowers, I'm unsure as to which one to choose.

Here's crocheted flower number 1,000,001 in situ.

The knitted flower.

And, here they are side by side.

Remember, no laughing!

I think I'm leaning more towards the crocheted one.

Any thoughts anybody?

Leaf Pattern Scarf - FO

What do you think?

I love the colour.

Perhaps I should keep this one for myself.

I'll definitely be knitting more of these.  They're so easy and quick to knit.

I might try knitting it with some chunky wool next time. Though I'm quite liking these 'Summer Scarves'.
