It's dress up day in Violet's class today and the theme is The Farm.
Violet wanted to go as a horse, but due to time restrictions (I didn't find out about the dress up day until Violet came home with a note on Monday afternoon), and my lack of sewing skills, she's ended up as a Scarecrow.
Show them your moves Dingle Dangle Scarecrow.
If you want to know how I made it. I've created a basic tutorial here.
Did I ever show you the Room On The Broom costume I made her for Book Week?
I'll be heading back to my home town of Nottingham tomorrow. My Sister-In-Law is taking me to Jamie Oliver's restaurant as a special treat. I'm really looking forward to it. Though I haven't a thing to wear.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Oh V looks lovely, and as always, smiling! I'm very impressed at your effort on such short notice, mine would have been shoved into something from their 'dressing up box' or I'd have bought a nasty cheap number from amazon. If I have time I do make (I've a Viking tunic to do for early next term) but not always. Love the Room on the Broom outfit as well. Beth/thelinencat xx
ReplyDeleteah what a cutie.
ReplyDeletesurely you have time to make yourself a matching one, I'm sure Jamie would be impressed x
Violet looks great, what a super costume!
ReplyDeleteaahh she looks fab! Why do schools insist on only giving mums and dads a few days notice for making costumes, it drives me bonkers. Fab outfit though , well done.
ReplyDeleteViolet looks wonderful. I've got similar photos from when Daniel was a dingle dangle scarecrow in a nursery production.
