This weekend I dog sat my brother's 2 Beagles, whilst he took his wifey off for a romantical night away.
They look sweet enough don't they?
I bet you're looking at these photos, cooing and saying "aaahhhhh".
I bet you're thinking those beautiful creatures couldn't possibly get up to mischief.
Do not be fooled by their cuteness.
At precisely 6:30am yesterday morning, whilst I was out walking them, they ran away.
I don't think the locals living by the park, appreciated the swearing, cussing and shouting going on outside their windows at that time on a Sunday morning.
Could I get them to come back? Could I hell.
I ended up going home, and returning to the park half an hour later.
And, guess what? There they were, frollicking about without a care in the World!

Oh no, I'd have panicked! We looked after my sister's dog at the weekend (actually her other halfs) but it was only overnight and no walking was involved, Twigs (a lurcher) was happily running around the garden in the rain sniffing for rabbits. Lucky you found them OK, little blighters :) Bethx
ReplyDeleteAaahhh but they are lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry Jill, I'm afraid I laughed when I read this, I could see it all in my minds eye! :)
Sorry!! :)

Awww, and butter wouldn't melt. I love beagles, one of my favourite breeds, but I didn't get one for precicely this reason, they're very strong willed (as I'm sure you're aware). Glad you managed to round them up.
ReplyDeleteYou must have been at your wit's end ... naughty dogs! It'd just like children and supply teachers. While the cats away ..... glad you got them back in the end!

ReplyDeleteOh, a beagle isn't what I thought it was then! I think I'm thinking of bassett hound. Poor Caster does look quite sheepish there in fairness!
ReplyDeleteWell at least Caster has the decency to look half-way apologetic!
ReplyDeleteWhat photogenic dogs! Loved this!
ReplyDeleteThey sure are cute you're right... :)
ReplyDeleteBut what little terrors running of on you like that... I bet you're glad to be giving them back...
